Operations Document Processor / Scanner Operator W2 Full Time | New York Office, East Syracuse, NY, US Salary Range: $16.50 to $16.50 Hourly Smart Data Solutions, a leading provider of data management, claim routing, and workflow solutions for health plans and TPAs is growing! We are looking for Document Processors to support our high-volume Operations team. In this role, you'll help ensure the accurate, secure handling of critical healthcare documents that keep our clients' processes moving. Responsibilities Opening, sorting, batching and quality controlling documents Preparing, verifying, counting and preparing documents for scanning (unfolding, taping, removing rubber bands, un-stapling) Fixing tears, making copies as needed Ensuring proper sorting method with appropriate cover sheets as trained Meeting Hi-Trust certification requirements: working on one client at a time, ensuring unprocessed mail is returned to the P.O. Box shelf, distributing processed mail to scanning stations, and adhering to the Acceptable Use Policy Identifying P.O. Box, client name, and patient name, and processing mail according to client criteria Processing incoming mail per customer instructions Completing work to meet customer service level agreements Protecting PHI confidentiality and complying with company policies Maintaining productivity standards Lifting up to 45 pounds and remaining stationary 50% of the time Scanning and operating scanners: scanning, archiving, quality control, inputting batch information, feeding documents, updating logs, troubleshooting, cleaning, and ensuring batches are scanned and placed appropriately Performing other basic office duties as assigned Data Capture Consistently achieve quality and production standards Work independently and quietly with minimal supervision Understand business rules and perform data verification routines per procedures Keep PHI confidential Recommend improvements to job processes Required Skills 40+ WPM typing speed, 4500 KPH ten-key Quickly learn new systems and memorize hot keys Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Manage time effectively, dependable, communicate effectively Computer literacy Schedule M-F 7:00 AM–3:00 PM Benefits Health insurance, short-term and long-term disability 401(k) with a company match Competitive paid time off: vacation, holiday, give-back day, floating day Professional development and growth-oriented workplace Who is Smart Data Solutions?
