Lead Document Control ManagerCharlotte, NCFull-time positionHybrid role (2 days remote, 3 days onsite /week in Uptown Charlotte)12 month contract position with potential for extension or full-time hireCompensation: $55/hr-$60/hrABOUT THE ROLEThe Principal Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure Project Information Management Specialist (MAOP PIMS) serves as the document control and project information management lead for large-scale natural gas infrastructure projects.This role is ideal for someone with a strong document control, records management, or project documentation background who has experience managing large volumes of engineering, construction, and asset-related documentation throughout the project lifecycle.The Principal PIMS is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, organization, and traceability of critical project records, including engineering drawings, testing documentation, material records, construction documentation, and as-built packages. This individual will establish and maintain document control processes, partner closely with project teams and contractors, and ensure all project records meet regulatory, compliance, and asset management requirements.As a senior member of the project team, the Principal PIMS provides leadership, oversight, and mentorship across document control and project information management activities while helping drive successful project execution and turnover.WHAT YOU'LL DOServe as the lead document control and project information management resource across multiple capital infrastructure projects.Establish, implement, and maintain document control processes that ensure project documentation is accurate, complete, compliant, and readily accessible.Manage the collection, organization, tracking, review, and distribution of high-volume engineering, construction, and asset documentation.Review engineering drawings, pressure test documentation, alignment sheets, material test records, bills of material, and construction records to identify gaps, discrepancies, and missing information.Ensure all project records are properly version-controlled, traceable, and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.Partner with engineering, construction, project management, and contractor teams to ensure document management requirements are consistently met.Oversee project turnover and closeout documentation, ensuring all records are complete and meet company, regulatory, and asset owner requirements.Monitor deliverable quality, completeness, and timeliness while resolving document-related issues that could impact project execution.Drive continuous improvement of document control processes, reporting, and project information management practices.Mentor junior PIMS team members and provide guidance on document management standards and best practices.WHAT YOU BRING3-5+ years of document control, records management, project documentation, or project information management experience in engineering, construction, utilities, energy, manufacturing, or other highly regulated environments.Demonstrated experience managing large volumes of technical documentation, engineering records, drawings, specifications, and project deliverables.Strong understanding of document control principles, including version control, document workflows, quality reviews, records retention, and audit readiness.Experience supporting capital projects, infrastructure projects, construction projects, or industrial projects from initiation through closeout.Background reviewing and validating engineering, construction, testing, or asset documentation for completeness and compliance.Experience working with Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS), SharePoint, Procore, OpenText, Aconex, Documentum, or similar platforms.Eight Eleven Group provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, citizenship, disability, genetic information, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, amnesty or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
