For over 40 years, NRG has been a trusted provider of wind and solar resource measurement solutions used in over 150 countries.As we continue to grow and evolve, we’re looking for a Cybersecurity Manager to help safeguard our systems, data, and infrastructure, ensuring the integrity of the technologies that power a more sustainable world.The OpportunityThis is a high-impact role at the center of NRG’s enterprise security program.Reporting to the Director of IT, the Cybersecurity Manager will lead efforts to strengthen and mature our cybersecurity posture, with a strong focus on the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) spanning Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, and Recover.This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role within a lean IT team. The Cybersecurity Manager will be expected to contribute beyond security pitching in across infrastructure, systems, and IT operations as needed.What You’ll DoCybersecurity Program LeadershipLead implementation and continuous improvement of NRG’s cybersecurity program aligned with NIST CSF Partner with leadership to align cybersecurity strategy with enterprise risk management Integrate security best practices into IT and business processes Risk & Vulnerability ManagementConduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing Design and implement controls to protect systems, networks, and data Monitor emerging threats and adapt defenses proactively Incident Detection & ResponseInvestigate and respond to security incidents end-to-end (analysis through recovery) Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions Maintain and enhance incident response plans Compliance & DocumentationMaintain policies, procedures, and security documentation Support audits and ensure compliance with applicable standards Security Awareness & TrainingDevelop and deliver employee training programs Translate complex security topics into practical guidance for all audiences Broader IT CollaborationActively contribute across IT operations in a small-team environment—including infrastructure, networking, systems support, backups, and business continuity.
