Quality Control Engineer

Overview As a Quality Control Engineer at Tutor Perini, you ensure construction quality across disciplines and support the QA/QC program. You work within a cross-functional team to inspect submittals, tests, and procedures, ensuring compliance with contract specs. You’ll assist in audits, document control, and coordination of inspection schedules. ResponsibilitiesInspect construction work and submittals for contract complianceWitness and document testing procedures to verify acceptabilityMaintain inspection and performance records and ensure document accuracyAssist in developing and implementing quality control procedures and test equipment controlsCoordinate QC inspection schedules with other departmentsParticipate in internal and external QC auditsReview purchasing documents for QC compliancePerform tasks as directed by supervisor Key requirementsBachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalentMinimum 5 years of field experience; construction disciplines experience preferred (civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing)Knowledge of contract specs, QC/QA procedures, submittals, testing, and inspection of electrical components and train control systemsStrong verbal and written communicationAbility to understand QA/QC manuals and programsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suitesgood verbal and written communicationattention to detailteam collaborationQA/QC proceduresinspection and testing procedurescontrol of measuring and test equipment
