Controls Engineer

OverviewSeeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to design and develop custom industrial equipment used in heavy manufacturing environments. This role requires a practical problem-solver who enjoys working on varied projects and collaborating closely with production teams and customers.Key ResponsibilitiesLead projects from concept through installationDevelop and evaluate mechanical designs based on customer requirementsCreate and review drawings, models, and bills of materialsUse SolidWorks and AutoCAD for 3D modeling and draftingSupport sales with technical input and cost estimatesProvide troubleshooting and technical assistance to service teams and clientsContribute to new product development and continuous improvement initiativesAssist in standardizing designs and improving product efficiencyPerform cost analysis for pricing and profitabilityMaintain direct communication with internal teams and external customersQualificationsDegree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) with 3+ years of experienceStrong experience with SolidWorks and AutoCADExposure to manufacturing or industrial equipment environmentsKnowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred)Project management experience is a plusStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects independentlyAdditional NotesRole involves occasional travel (~10%)Requires interaction across departments and with clientsMust be comfortable working in a production environment
