Title: Control Panel ElectricianLocation: Tuscaloosa, AL 35401Type: ContractShift: Monday to Thursday (6:00 AM - 4:30 PM CT) and Friday (6:00 AM - 11:00 AM, no breaks)Job Description:Company is a leader in the Off-Site Construction (OSC) industry, delivering mechanical/electrical-centric systems in a modular, prefabricated form, optimized for a streamlined on-site completion by us or others.SummaryThe Control Panel Electrician is responsible for the assembly, wiring, and testing of industrial control panels in a high-production, off-site construction (OSC) environment. This role ensures all panels are built to engineering specifications, applicable electrical codes, and Company's internal quality standards, with a strong focus on safety, first-pass quality, and on-time delivery.This position works closely with engineering, fabrication, and production teams to support efficient, repeatable panel builds for commercial and industrial systems.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble and wire industrial control panels including PLCs, VFDs, motor starters, relays, and instrumentation componentsRead and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and bills of material (BOMs)Perform point-to-point wiring, labeling, and verification to ensure accuracy and qualityExecute functional testing and quality checks prior to panel releaseTroubleshoot wiring and control issues during assembly and testing phasesEnsure all work complies with applicable electrical codes and company standardsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentCollaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve design or build issuesContribute to continuous improvement efforts focused on efficiency, quality, and standardizationSupport production goals while maintaining high workmanship standards and minimizing reworkQualifications3-5+ years of experience in industrial control panel assembly or similar environmentProven experience wiring and assembling control panels for industrial or commercial applicationsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagramsExperience with PLC-based systems (Allen-Bradley preferred)Familiarity with VFDs, motor controls, and industrial automation systemsUnderstanding of applicable electrical codes (NEC; UL508A experience is a plus)Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipAbility to work in a fast-paced production environmentValid Electrician LicensePerformance ExpectationsMeet or exceed production targets while maintaining first-pass quality standardsMinimize rework through accuracy and adherence to established processesMaintain a strong safety record and follow all safety proceduresContribute to team productivity and continuous improvement initiativesCore CompetenciesAttention to DetailProblem Solving & TroubleshootingTeamwork & CollaborationCommunicationAccountabilityPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods (8-10 hours per day)Frequent walking, reaching, bending, and use of hand toolsAbility to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.Visual acuity for detailed wiring and inspection workWorking ConditionsIndustrial manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperaturesRegular work with electrical systems and componentsRequired use of PPE including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed bootsWhy Join ?• Be part of a growing leader in off-site construction and modular systems• Work in a structured, team-oriented production environment focused on quality and innovationClient is an equal opportunity employer.
