ResponsibilitiesPosition Overview: We are seeking a PRN Family Medicine Physician to join our behavioral health team. This role combines primary care expertise with a focus on supporting patients experiencing mental health and substance use challenges. The Family Medicine Physician will play a vital role in providing comprehensive, integrated care, addressing both physical and behavioral health needs to improve patient outcomes.Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, including physical exams, to identify and treat physical health conditions alongside behavioral health challenges. Collaborate with behavioral health professionals to develop and implement integrated treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs. Manage and treat chronic and acute medical conditions in patients with co-occurring mental health or substance use disorders. Prescribe and manage medications, including psychotropic medications, in coordination with psychiatrists and other specialists. Provide preventive care and health education to support patients’ overall well-being. Participate in case conferences with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. Document patient interactions, diagnoses, and treatment plans in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Stay informed about advancements in family medicine and behavioral health to incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care.Qualifications Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution. Completion of a residency program in Family Medicine. Board certification in Family Medicine (or eligibility for certification). Valid state medical license to practice. Experience or interest in behavioral health and integrated care settings preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Commitment to providing culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and patient-centered care.Work Environment Clinical setting, including outpatient clinics, community health centers, or integrated care facilities. Collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals. May include on-call responsibilities or after-hours consultations as needed.Why Join Us?
