Electrical Engineer Job Description: Provide design drawings and specifications of electrical systems for various building types in multiple design phases, such as conceptual diagrams, schematic, development and construction designs Perform code compliance study, design reviews, plan checks, constructability and value engineering reviews Review and approval of contractor submittals Performing site surveys and field inspections to verify existing conditions and as-built conditions Work with multiple engineering and CAD disciplines to ensure quality control Qualification: BS in Electrical Engineering, PE registration is strongly desired 4-plus years experience in consulting MEP or A/E design firm Strong knowledge of NEC; building design for power distribution, lighting, and low voltage, emergency power, UPS, life safety, building security, data and telecommunications systems. Experience of software analysis in lighting and electrical system is a plus AutoCAD and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. proficiency is a must Self motivated, excellent communication, written and presentation skills Experience in scheduling and cost estimating is desired Project management experience is a plus Engsysco offers competitive salary and benefits, training, and advancement opportunities.
