Server/Bartender

Qualifications At least 18 years of age, 21 years of age for bartending. Previous experience in the restaurant industry. Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction. Ability to operate POS systems/tablets efficiently for order processing. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are highly valued. Mobility (walking, standing, stooping, bending, reaching, etc.) required during the entire shift. Ability to pick up and carry plates, drinks, glassware, trays, highchairs, etc. Reading, memorizing, recalling, writing and verbal communication skills required. Capable of using telephone, cash register and order tablets, host desk computer interface. Capable of basic math, maintaining checks, accurately ringing in orders. Essential Job Functions Regular attendance and compliance with employee handbook and training manuals. Interact with customers, co-workers & management in a friendly, enthusiastic and professional manner (i.e., a warm smile and sincere greeting). Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner. Present menus and provide detailed information about food and beverage offerings. Take accurate orders using POS systems and ensure timely delivery of food and drinks. Assist with food preparation and ensure proper handling of all food items according to safety standards. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area. Bring/clear dishes and glassware. Bus tables promptly after guests leave. Address guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism and courtesy. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction. Upsell menu items when appropriate to enhance the dining experience. Prepare and run food, drinks, beverages, sides, etc. to tables. Ensure grill tables are serviced and guide/assist guests with JBBQ grills. Maintain calm under pressure, or during high volume of guests. Provide excellent guest service as outlined in employee training materials. Practice proper sanitization and food handling measures at all times. Maintain safe customer and work areas at all times for safety of all. Maintain JBBQ grill tables for proper function and safety. Perform basic cleaning, and sanitization practices. Clean and organize restaurant as directed and follow daily, weekly, and extra cleaning schedules. Complete side work duties, opening/closing duties as assigned/listed. Assist teammates and managers as needed or requested.
