Design Engineer - Refrigeration SystemsAviation Solutions - IndianapolisResponsibilities include but not limited to:Create refrigeration schematic per specification requirements.Create compliance matrix based on company standards.Perform aircraft heat calculation and size units for presales documentation.Ability to communicate effectively with customers regarding technical data relevant to refrigeration systems.Conduct calculations for bill of material creation, and sizing of refrigeration components.Writing of specifications for equipment design including proprietary purchasedcomponents.Testing and troubleshooting product; Monitor existing product performance.On-time delivery of designs and products.Research & Development of new and existing products.Required Skills:Knowledge on ASHRAE refrigeration calculation, HVAC component, including wet bulb dry bulb (temperature humidity curves)Experienced in HVAC, cooling calculationsProject managementKnowledge of electrotechnical systems with basic controls preferred · EPDM, SolidWorks, CAD · Familiar with GD&T standardsQualifications:· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or relevant field required· 4+ years’ manufacturing experience· 4+ years’ design experience· Travel Flexibility up to 20%· Work Authorization: U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident
