We understand the best way to continue to provide excellent service to our clients is to hire talented, technically competent, motivated employees who are ready to continue the long Batterman tradition of being committed to our employees and community.Position Description - Civil Engineering Project Manager - TransportationAs a part of our growing civil engineering team, you will take the lead in design management of various transportation, land/site development, infrastructure, and facility improvement projects.Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely completion within scope, schedule, and budgetFoster and maintain relationships with the team and clientsCommunicate clearly and effectively with clients, the team, and cross-departmentallyBuild trust with management by completing tasks in a timely and budget-conscious mannerDelegate tasks effectively to the teamSupport the engineering design team, ensuring availability of internal expertise and mentorshipHandle conflict resolution within project workResponsible for completion of reports and technical documentsParticipate in intake and development of RFPs and RFQsLead design team members in project review and perform project-related quality controlWillingness to learn key elements of civil engineering design relevant to our projectsDirectly responsible for safe, efficient, and cost-effective designs for our clientsTo be considered for this position you will need the following basic requirements:Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university with emphasis in Civil EngineeringPE license or the ability to obtain within one year of hire dateMinimum of 3 years of design experience in Municipal, site development, grading, drainage, storm water and related permitting in Wisconsin and Northern IllinoisPractical experience with Wisconsin DOT projects and municipal roadway designProject Management experience is requiredExperience in Business Development and client interaction is a plusThe ability to work collaboratively with other team members and clientsDemonstrate strong organizational, communication and computer skillsExperience with relative computer programs (e.g. Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, etc.) is a plusAbility to read, review, and perform QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) on designsExperience scoping projectsThis position will require collaboration with other team disciplines including Land Surveying, Planning and Construction Management to maintain project timelines, budgets, and client expectations.In exchange for your talents, Batterman offers competitive compensation including base salary, a generous benefits package, including health/dental and vision insurance, L/S Disability insurance, company matching retirement and paid time off.
