From its headquarters in St. Louis, MO, and multiple branch offices throughout the U.S., Trileaf serves the wireless communications, commercial real estate and financial industries.Location: Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH (FULLY REMOTE)Job Summary:Trileaf is seeking a full-time, field Project Scientist with at 0-5 years of field experience conducting environmental due diligence work on commercial real estate and/or telecom projects, to include Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I ESAs) and Phase II ESAs. This position will be remote & based in the Ohio River Valley (ideally between Cleveland OH / Pittsburgh PA.Essential Job Functions:Travel to project location, take detailed notes and photographs of site (3-4 days per week)Conducting interviews, in person, via email, and phoneOrdering & analyzing government database recordsPerforming regulatory agency file reviewsReviewing historical data (including topographic maps, Sanborn fire insurance maps, city directories, and aerial photographs)Drafting of a standardized report using information from these various sourcesPerform QA/QC to the satisfaction of both management and clientsCompleting requested revisions & submitting report within pre-established timelinesConducting field work to collect samples of potentially contaminated subsurface media (soil, groundwater, and soil vapor) and/or indoor airCompare analytical contaminant data collected to applicable regulatory standardsBasic Qualifications:To be considered, the resume of the applicant must demonstrate the following qualifications/skills:Attention to detailStrong work ethicValid driver licenseCapable of field workAbility and willingness to travel (travel not expected to exceed 2-3 days at a time)Good computer skillsIndependent workerCommitment to excellencePhase I AssessmentsNEPA AssessmentsPreferred Qualifications / Experience:40-Hour HAZWOPER CertificationLicensed Asbestos InspectorManagementMold assessment experiencePhase II Environmental Site Assessments (ASTM E1903)Property Condition Assessments (ASTM E2018)Transaction Screen Assessments (ASTM E1528)Record Search with Risk Assessments (SBA SOP 50 10 6)Environmental Professional (EP)Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology, Environmental Science, Geology, Geography or related fieldsThe listed salary range for this position is an expected range.
