Role Description You will be working sporting events on campus while learning the ins and outs of what it takes to have function game day operations. Great opportunity to get involved in the athletic department, working the athletic events, and dealing with the event operations; including setting up scoreboard equipment, sound, handling visiting teams, officials, ball shagging, office hours, special projects, assisting with new sanitation efforts and other aspects of event management. We handle special events for both the athletic department and external groups. Throughout the Summer we host NYCFC Academy and NYCFC II practices and matches. This is a great opportunity to learn NCAA sport operations while also getting a glimpse into a bigger professional sport operation. xywuqvp This is an unpaid resume building position. Qualifications Currently enrolled in accredited college or university in pursuit of bachelor’s degree in related field Resume building experience Available for commitment to a 12 to 15 week program Eligible to work in the US Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel Ability to work in various weather conditions Regular and reliable attendance Physical ability to perform the necessary tasks, including the ability to lift 20+lbs Responsibilities Assist in scheduling of events Visiting team and officials/referee out reach DVSport replay training Event Staff management Daily facility walk-throughs to ensure cleanliness and upkeep Moving practice and game equipment, including soccer goals, bases, chairs, tables, & more Managing office projects Organizing locker room spaces Creatively help event programming department stay organized Athletic Van maintenance (vacuuming, detailing, logging miles and repairs)
