Materials Team Member - 2nd Shift

With scalable production capacity and disciplined program management, PSI delivers repeatable quality and reliable performance on complex builds for mission-critical and industrial applications worldwide.Shift: 2nd shift, Monday- Friday from 3:00PM-11:30PMPosition SummaryAs a Materials Team Member, you will perform general warehouse work including loading and unloading of trucks and moment of material within the warehouse or production facility. Work includes receiving, storing, and moving materials to the production area as well as preparing orders for shipment.Essential ResponsibilitiesInspect incoming inventory and equipment for quality before storing or reroutingUse moving equipment including forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks to move inventory safely and efficiently around the warehouse and production facilityIdentify damaged, lost, or missing merchandise and notify supervisor immediatelyTransports materials to shipping bay, prepares and loads for safe shipmentMaintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsCompletes appropriate inventory recordSafely operate forklifts and other power vehicles in accordance with safety regulations such as those administered by OSHAPerform inventory control responsibilities and cycle counts when requiredEnsure that power vehicles are in proper working order by conducting required pre-trip inspectionsOther duties as assigned by managementRequirementsHigh School diploma or GED preferredPrevious experience in Material Handling; sit-down, stand-up reach and turret truck experience preferredAbility to read and comprehend, in English, simple instructions, short correspondence, and memosMust be able to write simple correspondence and to effectively present information in one-on one situationsMust possess the ability to add and subtractAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructionsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands or fingers, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and armsAbility to safely drive a forkliftForklift certification is a plusThe employee is occasionally required to talk or listen.Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focusPSI offers a wide range of benefits from medical, dental, and vision to pet insurance as well as discounted prescription plans.
