Details shared on application.I'm partnered with a top-tier quantitative trading firm to hire a Senior SWE into their Database Platform team in New York.This is a hands-on engineering opportunity with genuine technical leadership scope.You'll build control plane capabilities, automation, self-healing systems, and tooling that powers some of the most performance-sensitive applications in global finance.The role:Providing technical leadership within the team and collaborating closely with partner technical leads to shape and align strategiesBuilding database management systems and tooling that automate tasks and provide self-service interfaces for database developersDriving telemetry, alerting, self-healing, and automation capabilities to enhance service reliabilityDiagnosing and resolving complex database issues across distributed environmentsManaging and supporting critical production databases across cloud and on-premisesWhat We're Looking For:5+ years supporting and managing OLTP databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or equivalent)5+ years developing automation and tooling to manage databases in productionStrong high availability and disaster recovery design experienceBackground from a hyperscaler database team, database vendor, or high-performance financial technology environmentThis firm has made recent hires from top-tier hyperscaler database teams, including AWS and Microsoft, and is now looking to grow further.
