Optician - Contact Lens Technician

The Contact Lens Technician provides exceptional eye care services to our patients. The primary responsibility is to assist ophthalmologists and optometrists in fitting and dispensing contact lenses to patients of all ages. TOP NOTCH ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS! EXCELLENT TEACHER OF ALL AGES (PEDIATRIC TO GERIATRIC) EXPERIENCE and CONTACT KNOWLEDGE PREFERRED We Will Count on You To (Role & Responsibilities) Assist in the fitting of contact lenses based on the ophthalmologist's or optometrist's prescriptions and recommendations. Instruct patients on proper insertion, removal, and care techniques for their contact lenses. Maintain detailed records of patient consultations, prescriptions, and follow-up appointments. Order and manage inventory of contact lenses and related supplies. Provide comprehensive eye care services and ensure patient satisfaction. Stay updated on the latest advancements and trends in contact lens technology and optometric practices. The Practice has Saturday hours until noon and is open 8:00AM to 8:00PM on Tuesdays. What Makes You Stand Out (Skills & Experience) Training in optometry or ophthalmic assisting. What You Need to Have (Qualifications) High school diploma or equivalent Proven experience as a Contact Lens Technician or in a similar role within an ophthalmology practice or optical retail setting. Strong knowledge of different types of contact lenses, their properties, and fitting techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively educate patients on contact lens wear and care. Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills; ability to maintain accurate patient records and manage inventory. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to upholding high standards of patient care, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
