The ideal candidate will have experience advising franchisor clients on franchise compliance matters, drafting and updating Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDDs), preparing franchise and ancillary agreements, and managing state franchise registration and renewal filings.This position offers the opportunity to work closely with established franchisor clients across a variety of industries in a collaborative, fast-paced, and client-focused environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDraft, review, and update Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDDs)Prepare and negotiate franchise agreements and related ancillary agreements, including development, transfer, and multi-unit agreementsManage franchise registration and renewal filings in registration and non-registration statesRespond to state examiner comment letters and regulatory inquiriesAdvise clients on federal and state franchise laws and ongoing compliance obligationsCounsel franchisor clients regarding operational, disclosure, and regulatory mattersAssist clients with franchise system development, expansion, and maintenanceConduct legal research related to franchise, corporate, and regulatory mattersCollaborate with attorneys and clients to manage multiple matters efficiently and meet deadlinesQualificationsJ.D. from an accredited law schoolActive license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction2–5 years of experience in franchise law and/or corporate transactional practiceExperience drafting and updating Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDDs)Experience drafting franchise agreements and related transactional documentsFamiliarity with franchise registration and renewal processes and responding to state comment lettersKnowledge of federal and state franchise laws and regulationsStrong drafting, analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environmentClient-service oriented with strong attention to detailExperience advising franchisor clients on operational and compliance mattersExposure to multi-state franchise systems and registration requirementsPrior law firm experience preferredCompensation & BenefitsWe offer competitive compensation, mentorship, sophisticated transactional work, professional development opportunities, and a collaborative team-oriented culture.
