This position offers the opportunity to practice a balanced mix of cardiac and thoracic surgery with access to advanced surgical technology, including the Da Vinci Xi robotic surgical platform.The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in both cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures, with robotic and minimally invasive surgical skills preferred. The program focuses on continued cardiovascular growth, advanced technology adoption, and high-quality patient-centered care.ResponsibilitiesPerform a broad spectrum of cardiothoracic surgical procedures including:Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)Valve repair and replacementThoracic oncology proceduresMinimally invasive and robotic thoracic surgeryEmergency cardiothoracic surgical coverageParticipate in shared hospital and cardiothoracic call coverageProvide inpatient and outpatient surgical managementCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams across closely located hospital campusesParticipate in quality improvement, clinical outcomes, and service line growth initiativesMaintain accurate and timely medical documentation activities in compliance with hospital and regulatory standardsParticipate in medical staff committees and physician leadershipQualificationsBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic SurgeryFellowship training in Cardiothoracic Surgery requiredExperience in both cardiac and thoracic surgery strongly preferredExperience with robotic surgery and the Da Vinci Xi platform preferredEligible for unrestricted New Jersey medical licenseStrong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skillsPay TransparencySt. Clare's Hospital offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $550,000 to $600,000 on an annualized basis.
