Senior Broadband and Digital Equity Data Analyst
Title: Senior Broadband and Digital Equity Data Analyst (Fulltime)
Location: Onsite - Washington, DC 20003
The client is looking for Senior Broadband and Digital Equity Data Analyst to handle all data-related issues for broadband and digital equity. This role involves a mix of analysis, research, and administrative tasks aimed at expanding broadband access and addressing the digital divide. The position will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data for a city-wide initiative to improve digital access. Key tasks include managing large datasets, performing geo-spatial and statistical analysis, designing surveys and research methods, and providing support for strategy, planning, and performance tracking.
Responsibilities:
Monitor, track, and use publicly available broadband and digital equity data from authoritative sources.
Manage all geospatial data collection and perform statistical analysis related to broadband and digital equity.
Help develop a broadband plan that includes goals to expand broadband coverage and capacity.
Participate in workgroups to support planning, mapping, and spending priorities for digital inclusion.
Assist stakeholders in overcoming barriers to broadband deployment and adoption.
Support the design, implementation, and analysis of policy and program evaluations using methods like randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and other appropriate analyses.
Monitor and measure the implementation of broadband and digital equity plans.
Help prepare required state and federal reports.
Skill Requirements:
Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (a writing sample may be required).
Ability to independently research complex policy, economic, financial, or technical issues.
Expert in statistical analysis.
Expert in GIS with 5+ years of experience using Esri tools (ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, etc.).
Extensive experience with Business Intelligence and Statistical Modeling tools.
Proficiency in at least one statistical programming language (R, Python, Stata, SAS, or similar).
Ability to write clear and concise reports for different audiences.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook).
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in geography, engineering (mechanical, electrical, civil), or another technical field.
Six (6) or more years of professional experience with increasing responsibility.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work effectively with changing priorities and meet urgent deadlines.
High personal and professional ethics.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science degree in geography, science, engineering, or information technology.
Professional experience in the broadband or telecommunications industry and/or digital inclusion-related data.
