By strengthening connections between patients, care teams, and support systems, we make it possible for people living with behavioral health challenges to achieve stability and long-term success.Job Overview:In the VP Clinical Services role, you will be responsible for setting the strategy for AHCS Pharmacy business to drive optimal medication access, patient adherence/persistency, and enhance new business opportunities. Responsibilities include working with pharmacy and clinical operations, marketing, sales and marketing, and IT to develop patient support programs to remove treatment access barriers and prevent patients from early therapy discontinuation. In this role, you are responsible for creating relationships with Life Sciences companies to ensure AHCS has access to all behavioral health/substance use disorder therapies as well as setting strategies for fee for service contracts. Also, responsible for creating opportunities for payor contracts to increase access to patients with mental illness. The individual should possess a combination of creative, strategic,and analytical skills with strong communication and presentation capabilities to help achieve AHCS’s goals.Responsibilities:Partner with Clinical and Pharmacy Operations leaders to align and implement AHCS’s clinical strategy with organizational goals, creating and executing strategic and tactical initiatives that minimize barriers for patients to start and remain on prescribed medications.Identify therapy market trends and develop proactive strategies/solutions to support the patient journey and outcomes.Be the clinical subject matter expert of the patient’s treatment and prescription journey at the product-specific level to understand patient pain points to start and stay on therapy. Be recognized as the clinical Thought Leader at AHCS for the purposes of sales/marketing discussions, customer interactions, conference presentation, and white paper/poster creation.Develop continuous understanding of mental health product performance to identify risks and solutions to overcome issues (i.e. Rx abandonment, fill rates, time to fill, early therapy discontinuation, lack of medication/ disease education, side effect management, importance of adherence and persistency) through pipeline tools and quarterly insights of internal data,Collaborate with marketing and operations to ideate, develop and implement innovative patient support programs to support medication fill rates and improve adherence and persistency to patients on mental health products.Serve as the primary strategic relationship leader for pharmaceutical companies, including their executive, procurement, medical science and sales teams.Collaborate with the clinical and marketing teams to consult with manufacturers on the design of fee for service patient support programs and data sharing programs as well as seek insights into the patient treatment journey and market trends.Work with Marketing to develop materials that validate AHCS’s clinical and operational programs that allow for business expansion and differentiation.Ensure AHCS is viewed as an innovative provider of care by utilizing predictive analytics, AI modeling, and clinical tools to improve patient connections with AHCS staff through stratification of high risk patients.Work with data analytics team to manage, utilize, and extract insights on patient adherence and persistency. Create and implement programs to improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) aligned with company’s strategic initiatives.Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues across multiple departments such as compliance, clinical, marketing, finance, sales and operations.Required Skills and Competencies:Proven ability to develop and execute clinical strategies aligned with organizational goals, patient access, and adherence outcomes.Deep understanding of behavioral health conditions, complex therapies, and long-acting injectable treatment models.Expertise in identifying and reducing barriers to medication initiation and persistency, including reimbursement, access, and patient education challenges.Strong cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to partner effectively across Clinical, Pharmacy Operations, Marketing, Compliance, IT, Finance, and Sales.Data-driven mindset with the ability to leverage performance metrics, analytics, AI and insights to inform strategy and drive continuous improvement.Solid knowledge of healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements impacting pharmacy and patient support programs.Exceptional communication, presentation, and executive presence skills to influence internal and external stakeholders.Education and Experience:B.S. or higher in Clinical Discipline (pharmacy, nursing, medical, etc.)10+ years’ experience in clinical leadership roles at pharmaceutical companies, health plans, hospitals, or pharmacy companiesExperience building and managing strategic relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, including fee-for-service patient support programs.Benefits:Base salary - $200-260kBonus – 25%Competitive salary and benefits packageOpportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient careCollaborative and supportive work environmentProfessional development and training opportunitiesWhy Join UsAt Advantage, you’ll be part of a mission-driven organization that blends clinical expertise with compassion.
