Fashion Designer

Our client, an American retailer that owns and operates 4 brands that are well known, is looking for someone to join their team as a Designer. This role is onsite in New York City, New York.*This is a 6-month W2 contract*In this role, you will be responsible for creating original concepts that encompass style, color and fabric as a result of interpreting fashion trends.What You Will Be DoingProduce sketches and make seasonal presentations of proposed designsAnalyze fashion trendsPartner with sourcing and materials development teamsProvide basic fit and body block information and attend fit sessionsMake appropriate adjustments with factories as required to ensure integrity of design approved prototypes while monitoring quality and targeted priceRequired Skills & ExperienceBachelor's degree4+ years' experience in girls or women's design (knits or wovens)Proficient with Centric and Adobe IllustratorExperience working with vendors/factoriesMotion Recruitment Partners is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/vets.
