Quality Control Inspector (Nights)

Our client is a very large employer in Shelton, CT. They have over 300 employees and are a major plastics manufacturer. They produce most of the plastic containers you would find in your local grocery store. The company has a 24/7 operation with a lot of stability and growth opportunity. Many of their employees are highly tenured. They are currently seeking Quality Control Inspectors.Pay:$19.25Why Work Here:?Very large and stable, growing company.Discounts on phone bill plus grocery bill.highly tenured internal team.Discounts on pet insurance car insurance.Responsibilities:Inspects finished or in-process products against standards using simple measuring tools and equipment for acceptance or rejection.Assures compliance with regards to line clearance, raw materials, in-process inspection, manufacturing, and housekeeping.Assists in the training and guidance of less experienced inspectors and production personnel with respect to QC methods and procedures.Checks reports, forms, records and comparable data to ensure compliance to procedures and requirements.Additional duties as assigned.Qualifications:Must be able to read micrometers and calipers, digital force gauge.Ability to use Microsoft Office.Ability to use scales and magna mic.High school diploma.Experience in a quality inspection position.Pay Rate:$19.25 per hour.Schedule:Night Shift: 6:50 PM - 7:05 AM***This position works 12 hour shifts whose days change every other week.
