Controller – ManufacturingThe Controller will lead all plant-level accounting and finance activities for a manufacturing facility, partnering closely with operations leadership to drive cost control, operational efficiency, and financial performance. This role oversees inventory, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting within a batch/process manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesOwn plant P&L, inventory, and cost accounting activitiesManage standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory controlsLead month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reportingAnalyze production, labor, material usage, and operational performance metricsSupport budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reportingPartner with operations leadership on process improvements and cost reduction initiativesProvide financial analysis for capital projects, process changes, and operational decisionsEnsure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and audit requirementsLead and mentor plant accounting staffSupport ERP system maintenance, reporting, and process improvementsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CMA preferred5+ years of manufacturing accounting or plant finance experienceStrong background in cost accounting, inventory, and operational financeExperience in batch/process manufacturing environments preferredERP experience required; advanced Excel skills strongly preferredStrong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
