MUST HAVE WINE KNOWLEGECasual Upscale Wine BarHenderson, NevadaCompensation:$13/hour + tips + wine sales incentives/opportunitiesReports To:General Manager / Wine DirectorPosition OverviewWe are seeking polished, energetic, and hospitality driven Model Servers / Wine Sales Associates to join our upscale wine bar team in Henderson, Nevada. This is not a traditional serving position. This is a hospitality and wine sales focused role built around guest engagement, wine education, elevated service, and creating memorable experiences.The ideal candidate is confident on the floor, understands upscale clientele, has previous wine knowledge, and knows how to drive sales through genuine hospitality and recommendation based service. Candidates must be comfortable discussing wine, guiding guests through pairings, upselling premium selections, and contributing to the overall energy and atmosphere of the venue.You will work closely alongside the Sommelier team and ownership to help create a high level wine driven guest experience.This is a fast paced, guest facing environment that values personality, professionalism, presentation, and sales ability.Required Experience & QualificationsCandidates MUST have:Previous serving experience in upscale casual, fine dining, lounge, nightlife, or hospitality environmentsPrevious wine knowledge and comfort discussing wine with guestsUnderstanding of major wine regions, varietals and stylesPrevious sales experience and the ability to confidently upsellStrong interpersonal and guest engagement skillsAbility to multitask in a fast paced environmentProfessional appearance and grooming standardsMust be 21 years of age or olderPreferred QualificationsExperience working in wine bars, cocktail lounges, steak houses, or elevated nightlife venuesFamiliarity with wine service standards and wine pairingsExperience using POS systemsPrevious luxury hospitality experience is a plusCMS or WSET certifications a plusKey ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & HospitalityDeliver warm, polished, attentive, and engaging service from arrival to departureCreate memorable guest experiences through hospitality, personality, and professionalismBuild rapport with guests and maintain an elevated but approachable atmosphereAnticipate guest needs and provide attentive table maintenance throughout serviceHandle guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessaryMaintain strong menu knowledge including ingredients, allergies, and daily featuresWine Sales & Beverage ServiceConfidently guide guests through the wine list and pairing recommendationsDrive wine sales through education, enthusiasm, and suggestive sellingDemonstrate strong knowledge of wine varietals, regions, producers, tasting profiles, and stylesProperly present, open, and pour wine according to service standardsRecommend premium wines, pairings, flights, and featured selectionsWork alongside the Sommelier team to enhance the guest experienceFollow all responsible alcohol service practices at all timesService & OperationsAccurately enter orders into the POS systemDeliver food and beverages efficiently and professionallyComplete opening, running, and closing side workPolish glassware, stock stations, reset tables, and maintain service standardsMaintain cleanliness and organization throughout all FOH areasFollow all cash handling and checkout proceduresAppearance & Presentation StandardsThis is a guest facing hospitality position where appearance, professionalism, and presentation matter.Employees must:Maintain a polished, clean, and professional appearance at all timesMaintain daily hair grooming and hygiene standardsAvoid heavy perfumes or excessive fragrancesMaintain clean and professional nailsTattoos are permitted provided they are not offensive or inappropriateExhibit confident, personable, high energy hospitality while on the floorCertifications & Compliance RequirementsCandidates must possess:Valid SNHD Food Handler Safety Training CardValid Alcohol Awareness Certification (TAM Card or equivalent)CMS or WSET certifications a plusEmployees are expected to:Comply with all Nevada alcohol service lawsNever serve minors or visibly intoxicated guestsFollow all Southern Nevada Health District sanitation requirementsAccurately report tips in accordance with state and federal lawFollow all workplace safety and sanitation standardsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods of timeAbility to lift and carry trays weighing up to 25 to 40 poundsComfortable working in a dimly lit, high energy environment with music, crowds, and nightlife atmosphereSchedule RequirementsEvening availability requiredWeekend and holiday availability requiredFlexible scheduling preferredWork EnvironmentThis is a fast paced, high energy, upscale wine bar environment focused on hospitality, ambiance, wine culture, and guest experience.
