Job Summary:
The Process Engineer II will support surface facilities capital projects for the Unconventional business unit. This is a mid‑career, individual contributor role focused on executing process engineering work and serving as a technical liaison between Operations and Engineering Contractors.
This position does not manage a team. Instead, the engineer will perform hands‑on process engineering work, provide technical guidance to third‑party engineering contractors, and ensure detailed engineering deliverables align with project objectives and operational requirements.
Unconventional oil & gas experience is highly desired.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the conduit between Operations and Engineering to support surface facilities capital projects
Perform hands‑on process engineering design and analysis, including:
Heat and material balances
Hydraulic analysis and line sizing
Equipment sizing and selection
Utility system evaluations
Support development of process design documentation for front-end and detailed engineering phases
Provide technical guidance and oversight to engineering contractors completing detailed engineering work
Review contractor deliverables to ensure alignment with project specifications, company standards, and operational requirements
Participate in HAZOP and other process safety reviews for new or modified facilities
Support ad hoc technical evaluations and troubleshooting for facility modifications and brownfield projects
Provide input during commissioning and startup activities as needed
Qualifications:
BS in Chemical Engineering or equivalent required
Mid-career experience in oil & gas process engineering (unconventional experience strongly preferred)
Experience supporting capital projects, particularly surface facilities
Familiarity with:
Heat and material balances
HAZOP methodologies
Hydraulic analysis
Equipment sizing and selection
Working with and overseeing engineering contractors
Strong communication skills with ability to interface effectively between Operations and Engineering teams
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Fluent in English (written and verbal technical communication)
Location: Spring, TX
Pay: $100/hr
Minimal travel < 25% and is 100% reimbursable
Pay: $100.00 per hour
