Sr. GIS Consultant

Seeking a US Veteran, Guardsman, Reservist, and/or Military Spouse for a full-time Senior GIS Consultant (Remote) with experience configuring, deploying, and managing Esri's Utility Network integrations. The Senior GIS Consultant will provide delivery of high-quality advisory services to a broad portfolio of clients within the energy and utility industry. Pay Rate: $85 - $100/hourTravel Required: Travel can be up to 50-75% at times depending on client and project requirements. Essential Duties and Accountabilities:Provide overall operational and technical leadership for various utility consulting programsRepresent company to prospective and existing customersWork with utility personnel at all levels of the organizationFacilitate presentations and conduct workshops to identify, define, and capture business and technical requirements and best practicesManage deliverables for the consulting projects, including use-case development, requirements gathering, and large-scale implementation strategy and road maps and reportsCoordinate and monitor consulting projects from initiation through deliveryServe as liaison between company and the client to ensure all targets and requirements are metDecompose high-level business requirements and user requirements into functional requirements, specified in an appropriate level of detail suitable for use by those who base their work on the requirementsIdentify operational system interfaces, constraints, and other non-functional requirementsWork individually or within a team on technology consulting projects to meet specific customer requirementsServe as a mentor to senior and entry-level consultants, developers, and engineersCoach, manage, and serve as a mentor to senior and entry level consultants, developers, and analystsProvide business development support to the sales team and account managers, including preparation and estimation of proposals for consulting and implementation projectsCreate business relationships and support sales generation with high-level contacts often through face-to-face and client site visits. Maintaining an ongoing business relationship with current clients to facilitate future salesActively participate in thought leadership activities such as blogs, conferences, and public speaking opportunities Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent utility and consulting work experienceMinimum of 7 years of experience working in support of related utility consulting or large-scale process/technology projectsKnowledge of electric, gas and/or water utilitiesUnderstanding of the Esri product suite, with emphasis desired in one or more of the following:Configuring, deploying, and managing ESRI's Utility Network modelData model design and managementDesigning and deploying ArcGIS applications through ArcGIS Online or PortalExcellent interpersonal, written and oral communications and customer relations skillsDemonstrates a high degree of personal and professional integrityAbility to prioritize work assignments and shift work efforts based on the needs of the department or business goalsAbility to work independently and be self-motivatedAbility to work effectively in a team environmentManagerial and supervision skills.Good understanding of utility business processes, including compliance, regulatory requirements, and field workflowsAble to articulate the business needs around specific utility network models, including how commodities operate in the real world and the value of representing networks in GISEasterseals DC MD VA is an equal employment opportunity employer.
