Founded in 2012, the mission of Origins is to grow a healthy community through food, bringing positive change to the world through our food choices by supporting small family farmers, organic growing practices and ethical treatment of animals. Greenhouses lush with tropical plants, fragrant herbs and flowers create the dining room in an expansive venue accommodating over 100 guests. Origins serves a seasonal, ever changing menu for dinner, brunch, lunch, concerts, weddings and private events from May through October.Job DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTIONOrigins seeks an experienced chef & kitchen manager who shares our passion for inspired, wholesome, sustainably sourced food. As our seasonal, locally-sourced menu changes weekly, April through October, we invite a creative spirit with strong leadership skills.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate to create menu items inspired by locally available ingredientsPlace food orders and manage inventoryPrepare menu items in cooperation with the kitchen teamEnsure quality and timeliness of food serviceComply with sanitation regulations and safety standardsHelp maintain a positive energy and respectful atmosphere in the kitchenQualificationsSkillful communication, delegation, time management and organizational skillsStrong leadership skills: accountable and reliableAbility to work with the team and treat all with respectWork closely with the management to improve our overall systems.ExperiencePrevious work in a professional kitchen preferredReferences requestedHoursApproximately 40 hours per weekLunch or Dinner Service.
