Software Developer - iOS Apps

*Job Description:* * The IT Application Development Solutions (ADS) team develops, maintains, and supports operation of many (in‐house) Java Enterprise Edition applications and COTS products to support the organization’s day to day operations. * A new consultant will join the ADS team to analyze, develop, maintain applications, and troubleshoot production issues as a developer. *Duties / Responsibilities:* 1. Implement UI/UX design – Translate design mockups and wireframes into high‐quality code, adhering to Apple’s design guidelines. 2. Design and build iOS apps for iPhone and iPad using Swift. 3. Maintain existing iOS apps, written in Swift and Objective‐C, and troubleshoot production issues. 4. Integrate APIs and third‐party services. 5. Manage new app submission/approval/release process on the Apple Store. 6. Manage app deployment/distribution on IBM MaaS360. 7. Collaborate with QA team to support application QA and UAT. *Preferred Experience/Qualification/Knowledge Skills:* * *Education: *Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. * *General Experience: * 5+ years of hands‐on iOS app development experience. * Full‐Cycle Mobile App Development. * Proven experience with UI/UX design principles and best practices. * Experience with server‐client architecture. * Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills. * Excellent communication skills. * Quick to learn and adapt. * *Specialized Experience: *5+ years’ experience in iOS app development for iPhone and iPad using the following: * Proficiency in Swift and Objective‐C. * Full‐cycle mobile app development. * Integration with mobile backend APIs and cloud service APIs. * Secure coding practices and data encryption. * UI/UX design principles and best practices. * UIKit, CoreData, Alamofire, MapKit, and AVFoundation. * Firebase Analytics SDK and Crashlytics. * Any Vision API(s). * Tools: Xcode, Swift Playgrounds, CocoaPods, Swift Package Manager (SPM), Simulator, Postman, App Store Connect, and TestFlight. * Manage new app submission/approval/release process on the Apple Store. * Manage app deployment/distribution on IBM MaaS360. *Please submit your resume in word format.* Job Type: Contract Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour Schedule: * 8 hour shift Experience: * iOS app development: 6 years (Required) * iOS app development for iPhone and iPad: 6 years (Required) * Proficiency in Swift and Objective‐C.: 6 years (Required) * UI/UX design principles and best practices.: 6 years (Required) * Manage app deployment/distribution on IBM MaaS360.: 6 years (Required) * UIKit, CoreData, Alamofire, MapKit, and AVFoundation.: 6 years (Required) * Full‐cycle mobile app development.: 6 years (Required) * Xcode, Swift Playgrounds, CocoaPods: 6 years (Required) * App Store Connect, and TestFlight.: 6 years (Required) * Swift Package Manager (SPM), Simulator, Postman: 6 years (Required) Work Location: Hybrid remote in Laurel, MD 20723
