Welder- 2nd Shift

Welder / Metal Fabricator The welder / metal fabricator is responsible for fabricating high-quality metal components and frames for retail store fixtures. This role requires proficiency in MIG welding, blueprint reading, and general metal fabrication processes, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. This is a second shift position with a schedule of: Monday-Thursday, 2 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.Responsibilities:Perform MIG welding to complete assigned work orders accurately and efficientlyReview prints and verify materials prior to fabrication; assemble components according to specificationsFabricate metal components including cutting, drilling, deburring, and assemblyRecord labor time, materials, and other job-related costs; complete required work order documentationTrack and properly dispose of scrap materialsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area on an ongoing basisPerform routine maintenance on welding and fabrication equipment; identify and escalate repair needs to the group lead or supervisorContribute to continuous improvement efforts related to safety, quality, delivery, and costEnsure all work meets quality standards and customer requirements within established timelinesApply experience and technical skills to support efficient and effective fabrication processesAssist in maintaining adequate inventory and supply levels for productionAssist in other departments of the shop as directed. Position may include working in the machining department as needed.Requirements:High school diploma or GED equivalent requiredVocational/technical welding certification or equivalent experience preferredMinimum of two (2) years of welding experienceProficiency in MIG (wire feed) weldingBasic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawingsAbility to accurately use measuring tools such as calipers and tape measuresStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentWorking knowledge of welding materials, including consumable and non-consumable componentsAbility to meet production schedules and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentPay RangeStarting salary $23 - $27 (+ profit sharing)The actual base salary offered will vary based on factors such as relevant skills, prior experience, and education.
