Ensure safety protocols are being followed and offer ideas where safety procedures can be enhancedCollaborate with production on manufacturing processes, including identifying areas where improvements would increase safety and productionIdentify deficiencies and bottlenecks in Plant processes and propose solutions to improve plant performanceDevelop scope of work documents for plant projectsManage and lead internal projects, working with multiple departments and contractorsDevelop training documents and manuals for newly implemented equipment and circuitsSupport the Maintenance department with equipment troubleshooting and root cause analysis on equipment failuresAssist Engineering department with plant and equipment auditsCoach hourly employees on new and existing plant processes and equipment to improve their work efficiency and knowledgeTrack and Monitor plant performance and KPI’sCollaborate with Engineering and Management to prioritize capital projects and spendingUpdate plant process flowsheets and diagramsComplete annual dust collection flow audits to ensure systems are meeting requirements and recommend areas of improvementProvide operational oversight when Production Supervisors are on vacationComplete other tasks as assignedIndependent project-based work to identify process improvement areas and develop enhancement plans which meet all safety, environmental, operating, and market quality objectivesWork with maintenance on predictive and preventative maintenance programs for all areas of the plantLead in the process improvement of all plant functions with support of Plant Management and other Covia departmentsCarry out the Plant’s policies and procedures.Prioritizes Safety: Consistently upholds Covia’s safety standards, follows life-saving rules, and fosters a culture where safety is the foundation of all decisions and actions.
