As a Machinist, you will be working with a variety of machines and manufacturing equipment as needed and per blueprint or job order specifications. You will also be repairing and maintaining your equipment as needed, assisting other machinists with larger tasks, and maintaining a safe work environment. The ideal candidate has exceptional attention to detail, previous experience in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to work well with minimal supervision.ResponsibilitiesRead blueprints or job orders and make adjustments to equipment as needed, often with precision toolsCheck final products for accuracy, and make adjustments to machines as needed to ensure the best final productConduct basic maintenance and repairs on equipment in your careSet up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce precision partsRead blueprints, sketches, or computer-aided design (CAD) files to determine dimensions and tolerances of the finished workpieceMeasure, examine, and test completed parts to ensure they meet specificationsAdjust machine settings to control speed, feed, and depth of cutPerform routine maintenance on machines to ensure their optimal performanceQualificationsPrevious experience as a machinist, Journeyman preferredThe ability to read blueprints or job orders and make minor adjustments as needed to fulfill requirementsThe ability to use precision tools to take accurate measurementsExcellent attention to detailProficient in using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instrumentsFamiliarity with power tools and hand tools used in machining operationsAbility to run Manual mills and latheMust be able to lift 50lbs.Must have your own tools
