As a Shelter Supervisor , you’ll be an essential part of our Juvenile Justice Services team. Your responsibilities would include overseeing the day-to-day shelter operations, supervising Youth Care Specialists, ensuring licensing and accreditation compliance, and advocating for the youth in our care. In short, our Shelter Supervisor I will help create a structured, safe, and empowering environment for youth in crisis, while providing leadership and mentorship to the shelter team.

Has a positive and reliable work ethic
Has strong leadership skills and experience supervising teams

Can manage shelter operations while meeting licensing and accreditation standards

Qualifications
Do you think you’d be a good fit for this role? Ideally, you:
Hold a Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field (required)
Are 21 years of age or older
Have at least two years of experience working with youth in crisis and their families
Are experienced in coordinating daily operations in a residential or shelter setting
Are comfortable working evenings, weekends, and on-call hours as needed
Vehicle Requirements:
Reliable transportation that meets agency vehicle inspection requirements.
Valid driver’s license with no more than 3 points.
Proof of insurance that meets agency requirements.
Completion of defensive driver training class within 1st week of employment
Bonus Points
Experience working in a licensed residential care facility
Background in facilitating team meetings and performance management
Experience collecting and using CQI data for program improvement
