CNC MILL/LATHE MACHINIST

Job Description CNC MILL MACHINIST Monday – Friday, must be able to work night shifts 6:00 am - 4:30 pm $26.00 - $30.00 per hourESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Set up and operate CNC MillProperly placing the workpiece in the machines and completing the operations specified on the job travelers.Interpret blueprints and part specifications to select the correct material, tools, and fabrication processesLoad and unload parts, change tools setting offsets, verify part measurements, detect equipment malfunction, detect out-of-tolerance conditionsPerforms operations needed to manufacture complex componentsPerform basic daily maintenance on work centerCommitment to keeping a neat and organized work areaDevelop specifications from simple and complex blueprints, or hand sketch simple parts on paperAdherence to all safety requirements, including proper use of PPEWork overtime to maintain customer requirementsFit parts and hold tolerance to within .0005-.002Produce quality parts in an efficient mannerJOB REQUIREMENTSMinimum 3-5 years machining experience on Horizontal CNC milling equipmentFANUC and Haas Control knowledge a plusAbility to read and write G & M code and edit programs at the machineMust be familiar with G-code programming formatsBlueprint reading skillsAble to setup and run concurrent jobs on machinesAble to use standard measuring equipment such as micrometers, comparatorsAbility to hold tight tolerancesStrong Shop math skillsAble to work to metric dimensionsExperience with Lean manufacturing principles and ISO quality systemsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to read and interpret documents such as invoices and department manuals#psbrenham
