Summary of Duties As an Pre-Employment Transition Coordinator (Pre-ETS), you will: Provide direct Pre-ETS services to students who are potentially eligible for Vocational Rehabilitation both virtually and in person for assigned geographical area. Work with local school districts to coordinate and create the provision of Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) in a variety of settings including classrooms, afterschool programs, job clubs, summer work experiences, conferences and workshops, among other opportunities for students with disabilities. Develop materials and train school staff, community partners, students and families on VR process and policies including Pre-ETS, VR services and the VR eligibility process, as well as the provision of high quality Pre-ETS delivery. Promote awareness about Pre-ETS offered by VR by providing trainings and presentations, attending conferences and meetings, and by participating in other events attended by personnel that interact with student with disabilities and their families. Act as liaison to the staff of local school districts, private schools, and public and private agencies by providing disability and vocational consultation, responding to telephone inquiries and emails, visiting and providing information on Pre-ETS and the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation. Providing in-service training on disability, conferring with agency staff to facilitate relationships to advance the vocational development of students with disabilities and collaborate service provisions to prepare students with disabilities to take full advantage of the services offered by the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills; OR Any combination of experience or education equivalent to three years technical-level experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification. Essential Attributes We are looking for candidates with: Experience working with students with disabilities on employment related activities and their teams. Ability to create and provide both virtual and in-person service. Experience to coordinate services between schools and adult service agencies while maintaining accurate records. Experience training partners, parents, families and students on Pre-ETS policy and procedure requirements. Attention all candidates! Working Conditions This position is considered hybrid/remote and works across multiple branch offices of Vocational Rehabilitation, local school districts, and in the community The settings will vary and will include community settings such as libraries, VR offices, classrooms, career centers, counseling offices and other locations as needed. Some flexing of schedule may be required to provide services to students outside of scheduled time. Year round travel through the branch offices’ region to attend staff relation events, and statewide for training and team events.
