Quality Assurance Administrative Assistant

The QAAA is responsible for ensuring the proper inspection documentation of all incoming and outgoing products as well as production procedures. The QAAA checks to see whether the products, services, and documentation provided to them meet specified customer requirements prior to releasing the final product to the customer.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Follow all established safety and work standards and advocate safety throughout the plant. Safety is our number one priority.
Verifies quality clauses.
Verifies customer’s approval for supplier sources.
Verifies OEM hardware certifications, material and hardware certifications.
Verifies the customer purchase order matches drawing revisions.
Coordinates source inspections.
Assists Quality Manager in completing quality improvement projects.
Investigates improvement opportunities and documents them as required.
Monitors compliance to the AS9100 business system and ensures action is taken to address noncompliance when identified.
Scans and files quality documentation into QMS system.
Performs any quality related tasks, special projects as assigned.
Skills & Experience:
Proficient in MS Office is required.
Possesses critical thinking, decision making, and problem solving skills.
Excellent personal communication skills (written and verbal).
Experience working in an AS9100 regulated environment preferred.
Must have aptitude to learn and understand geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
Ability to learn engineering blueprints and written engineering procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
2 years minimum experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 2 years of related experience.
Academic Requirements:
High School Degree; Further qualifications are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit or stand up to 8 hours per day uninterrupted.
Exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
