Machine Estimator

The Quoting/Estimator is responsible for supporting the Inside and Outside Sales team with quotes, CRM data, and reporting. Must have experience estimating CNC OR Lathe OR Milling machines Essential Functions: Analysis of information, data, or opportunities to make the best decision in how to strategically quote for purposes of positioning winning the business Review customer specifications to ensure the quote is technically compatible and competitive Match supplier capabilities to customer specifications by demonstrating knowledge of material commodities Maintain a current understanding of bid strategies and market conditions Review plans and specifications, generate proposals, and handle customer inquiries Regular follow-up with customers and sales reps to build relationships and ensure proposals, deliverables, and other communications meet customer’s needs Aid in solving customer complaints and/or inquiries Interact with various departments as needed to support sales and complete tasks At times, perform as the account lead where no salesperson is assigned or the customer’s needs warrant direct service Attend various market-specific trade shows; interact with customers; and build relationships Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment Maintain accurate documentation/paperwork and files Incorporate the use of technological capabilities to improve processes and efficiency Interface with Operations, Engineering, and Quality to ensure effective communication and customer satisfaction Other special projects as assigned by the President/Sales Manager Competencies: Experience Estimating/Quoting in a CNC Lathe-Turn/Milling Environment Business Acumen Results Driven Problem Solving/Analysis Collaboration Skills Relationship Management Customer/Client Focus Technical Capacity Teamwork Orientation Project Management Job Type: Full-time Pay: $87,876.00 - $95,692.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Experience: Estimating/Quoting CNC Lathe-Turn/Milling Machines: 3 years (Required) Project Management: 1 year (Required) Estimating/Quoting for Inside and outside sales team: 1 year (Required) CRM: 1 year (Required) Work Location: In person
