This position will be full-time and remote.What You'll DoWill work hands-on with AI models, automation frameworks, and support tooling to reduce manual tasks, streamline incident management, and enable faster product iterationThe role requires a strong engineering background, experience with LLM-based automation, and a passion for using modern tools such as Claude, AWS Bedrock, and Microsoft Copilot to transform support operationsCollaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, Analysts, Engineers, and Lab teams across Manila and MiramarDesign, develop, and deploy automation solutions that improve application support processes, reduce manual workload, and enhance system reliabilityBuild AI-powered tools and workflows using platforms such as Claude, AWS Bedrock, Copilot Studio, and other LLM-supporting frameworksImplement intelligent monitoring, anomaly detection, and automated remediation for shipboard applicationsCreate scripts, services, and integrations to support automated testing, diagnostics, triage, and reportingPartner with the Product Health team to identify opportunities for automation across incidents, alerts, log analysis, and routine support tasksBuild tools that help support engineers and shipboard IT teams resolve issues fasterCollaborate on root-cause investigations and help implement permanent, automated solutionsWork closely with the Manila and Miramar Lab teams to automate lab workflows, deployments, environment resets, and data preparationEnsure automation solutions are fully tested, validated, and compatible with shipboard environmentsWork with product managers, shipboard technology teams, and engineering stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutionsParticipate in design reviews, sprint ceremonies, and product planningShare knowledge and mentor team members on AI and automation best practicesWhat You'll Need3+ years of experience in software engineering, automation engineering, or AI engineeringHands-on experience developing solutions using one or more LLM/AI platforms such as: Claude (Anthropic), AWS Bedrock, Microsoft Copilot / Copilot StudioStrong experience with Python, JavaScript/Node.js, or similar languages used in AI workflows and automationExperience building APIs, integrations, and automation workflowsStrong troubleshooting skills and comfort working with product support teamsExperience with observability tools, incident management tooling, or application support environmentsBackground working in agile product teamsExperience with automation frameworks (CI/CD, test automation, workflow automation)Understanding of shipboard or distributed operational environments is a plusPhysical DemandsAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with federal, state and local standardsSedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitoringReasonable accommodation statementIf you require a reasonable accommodation in completing this application, interviewing, completing any pre-employment testing, or otherwise participating in the employment selection process, please direct your inquiries to application.accommodations@cai.io or (888) 824 – 8111.
