Oracle Developer up to 150k (Washington, DC)Our client located in Washington, DC is looking for an Oracle PL/SQL Developer who designs, develops, and maintains database solutions using Oracle Database and PL/SQL (Procedural Language/SQL). This role focuses on writing, optimizing, and supporting stored procedures, functions, triggers, and complex queries, while ensuring database performance, security, and integrity.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain PL/SQL code including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages Optimize and tune existing PL/SQL and SQL queries for performance and scalability Collaborate with application developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to define and implement database requirements Participate in database design and data modeling, ensuring alignment with business needs Perform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data migrations Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including production system problems Document database structures, processes, and procedures for clarity and compliance Support daily operations and provide on-call assistance when needed Work in agile environments, interacting with architects, QA, and product management Required Skills & QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Experience: Minimum 3–5+ years of PL/SQL development experience; strong background in Oracle database technologies Technical skills:Deep knowledge of Oracle database architecture and PL/SQL programming Experience with performance tuning and query optimization Familiarity with data modeling, ETL processes, and data migration Knowledge of database security best practices and compliance Experience with agile methodologies and cross-functional team collaboration Tools: TOAD, ERWIN, Oracle 12C, partitioning, data archival, and possibly 4GL languages or Java Soft skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities; ability to work independently and as part of a team Must be eligible to work in the United States of America.
