For more information, visit www.S-5.com.The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the organization’s financial operations by maintaining accurate financial records, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting and close processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Ledger ManagementMaintain and update the general ledger by recording daily financial transactions, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring accuracy and completeness.Account ReconciliationsPerform regular reconciliations of bank statements, balance sheet accounts, and other financial records to identify discrepancies and ensure data integrity.Financial ReportingPrepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, and provide insights to support decision-making.Month-End & Year-End CloseLead or support month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and prepayments, and ensuring timely completion of all close tasks.Audit & Tax SupportAssist in preparing schedules and documentation for internal and external audits, and support tax preparation processes by gathering and organizing required financial data.Compliance & ControlsEnsure adherence to company policies, internal controls, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and help identify opportunities for process improvements.QualificationsAssociate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.1–3 years of accounting experience preferred; experience with general ledger functions and financial reporting is a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)Experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuiteStrong attention to detail and accuracyAnalytical and problem-solving skillsEffective written and verbal communicationAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesAnnual Salary $50,000 plus quarterly bonus potential
