Design & Release Engineer – Brake Interface Paddles

We are looking for a Design & Release Engineer with 5+ years of experience in the automotive industry to support the development of brake interface paddle systems. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle of the component, from concept and design to production release, ensuring functionality, integration, and compliance with technical and regulatory standards.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and release brake interface paddle components, considering integration with regenerative braking or engine braking systems.Create and maintain 2D/3D CAD models, technical specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOM).Define and execute validation plans (DVP&R), including functional, durability, and environmental testing.Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as electrical, software, vehicle integration, and manufacturing.Participate in DFMEA, design reviews, and issue resolution processes.Support interactions with suppliers for design feasibility, testing, and production readiness (including APQP and PPAP documentation).Ensure that all components meet performance targets, cost objectives, and timing milestones.Provide engineering support during prototype builds and production launch phases.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.At least 5 years of experience in automotive product development, ideally with braking systems, paddles, or driver interface components.Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., CATIA V5, Siemens NX).Knowledge of DVP&R, DFMEA, APQP, and PPAP processes.Strong understanding of automotive systems and vehicle integration.Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work in a cross-functional and international team environment.
