You will work with people who have trouble moving because of surgery or an injury and create a plan for effective treatment. This position is in charge of delivering physical therapy treatments to patients to help them feel less pain and move around better, as well as developing their health and fitness plans.Our ideal candidate must be able to manage different types of patient issues while staying current on the most recent techniques and methods for treatment. If this sounds like a great opportunity, apply now!ResponsibilitiesProvide physical therapy services to patients in their homes under the supervision of the Physical TherapistImplement treatment plans established by the supervising PTAssist patients with exercises to improve strength, mobility, balance, and enduranceMonitor patient progress and report any changes to the supervising PTDocument patient visits and treatment notes accurately and in a timely mannerEducate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and fall preventionMaintain compliance with home health regulations and agency policiesReview the data gathered from the patient's tests and examinations, then make recommendations based on your findingsUse physical therapy on patients to reduce pain and improve mobility as advised by doctorAsk patients about their physical status, including any injuries or mobility concernsCollaborate with others in the medical field and seek their opinionsEnsure that patient care records are correct, and adhere to all regulations and guidelinesQualificationsCurrent Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of MichiganHome health experience preferred but not requiredStrong clinical and communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage a flexible scheduleReliable transportation and a valid driver's licenseCurrent CPR certificationSuccessful candidates will need strong analytical, communication, and observational skillsMust have a bachelor's degree or higher and a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)Passage of the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) is required for this positionMust have a current state license to practice in the state you reside inWe prefer candidates with some previous experience working directly with patients in a healthcare settingCompensation $30 - $40 hourly About Home Care Wellness LLCAt Home Care Wellness, we know that quality patient care starts with supporting our team.
