North East Bronx Skilled Nursing Facility - Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility, possess strong mechanical knowledge, and a proven track record in maintenance management. The Director is responsible for all fire safety and regulatory requirements for a Skilled Nursing Facility. This role requires effective leadership skills to ensure the facility is maintained to the highest standards of safety and efficiency.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement maintenance strategies to enhance operational efficiency.Supervise and lead the maintenance team, providing guidance and support in daily tasks.Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify areas needing repair or improvement.Manage projects related to facility upgrades, repairs, and installations.Oversee electrical systems maintenance, including low voltage systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.Fabricate parts or components as needed to support maintenance activities.Read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting and repair purposes.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory, and equipment status.SkillsStrong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in facility maintenance.Proven experience in maintenance management, including team supervision.Understanding of electrical systems, particularly low voltage applications.Ability to fabricate components as required for repairs or modifications.Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail in troubleshooting issues.Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments.
