Position: Registered NurseLocation: Honolulu, HIPay: Starting at $43/hourExperience: Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or a graduate of an approved RN program.Type: Full-time; ContractSchedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30am to 2:30pmKahu Malama Nurses is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a growing and dynamic team!Job DescriptionParticipate in the admission, discharge, and transfer of residents as required.Observe changes in residents’ status, notifying the physician and the resident’s family or representative and documenting accordingly.Transcribes physician orders to the medical record and carries out orders as written.Prepare and administer medications as per physicians’ orders and observe for adverse effects.Schedule follow-up appointments for residents and transportation needs as indicated.Provide nursing leadership to nursing personnel assigned to the unit.Handle scheduled and as-needed assessments of residents’ conditions and reports and documents accordingly.Report any incidents or unusual occurrences to the supervisor, unit manager, assistant director, or nursing director.Ensure there is adequate stock of medications, supplies, and equipment, and notify appropriate personnel of needs.Provide direct care, perform rounds, and collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team as needed.Initiates, reviews, and updates care plans as required.Other duties as assigned Position RequirementsCurrent unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Hawaii.Current BLS/CPR certification and TB skin test. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills.
