We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health!OrganizationABSMC-Alta Bates Summit Med CenterPosition OverviewSutter Alta Bates Summit Medical Center is seeking an experienced Cardiac Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) to join our inpatient cardiac services team at our advanced tertiary cardiac center.Alta Bates Summit Medical Center Is a 450-bed Facility Located In Downtown Oakland, Serving As The Tertiary Cardiac Referral Center For The Greater East Bay. We Provide a Comprehensive, Cutting-edge Cardiac Program That Includes General cardiology Advanced cardiac imaging (cardiac CT and MRI) Coronary interventions, including treatment of chronic total occlusions Structural heart disease management: percutaneous valve procedures, ASD/PFO closure, left atrial appendage closure Comprehensive electrophysiology: CIED implantation/extraction, advanced ablation Advanced heart failure management, including mechanical circulatory support Cardiac surgeryOur cardiac program is supported by approximately 20 cardiologists and 3 cardiothoracic surgeons.ResponsibilitiesThe Cardiac APC will:Work collaboratively under the supervision of on-site cardiologistsFollow a 7 days on/7 days offProvide Comprehensive Inpatient Cardiac Care, IncludingPre-procedure evaluationsPost-procedure evaluationsManaging cardiac discharges and coordinating with the hospitalist teamFollow-up inpatient assessmentsEvaluating new inpatient or Emergency Department consultsTriage of urgent and emergent cardiac patientsParticipation in the post-cardiac-discharge Transition of Care ClinicEducationJob Description:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.Master's: NursingCERTIFICATION & LICENSURENP-California Nurse Practitioner by California Department of Consumer AffairsNP-F - Nurse Practitioner FurnishingRN-California Registered NurseBLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare ProviderCertification required based on the department requirementsTypical Experience5 years of recent relevant experience.Skills And KnowledgeDemonstrated general knowledge and competence with regard to advanced nursing theories, concepts and practices; medical terminology; anatomy; and physiology.Working knowledge of the healthcare industry, safety precaution policies, best practices regarding patient care and privacy, and changes in local/state/federal regulations.Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people.Basic knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Outlook), Electronic Health Record.Prioritize and delegate assignments and work within standardized policies, procedures, and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.Work independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.Identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.Ensure the privacy of each patient’s protected health information (PHI).Build collaborate relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.Job ShiftVariedScheduleFull TimeDays Of The WeekVariableWeekend RequirementsRotating WeekendsBenefitsYesUnionsNoPosition StatusExemptWeekly Hours40Employee StatusRegularSutter Health is an equal opportunity employer EOE/M/F/Disability/Veterans.Pay Range is $92.80 to $134.56 / hourThe compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled.
