Job SummaryThis position is advertised from the minimum to the mid-point hourly rate. Salary will be determined based on education and experience at the time of offer. NATURE OF WORKUnder general supervision, commutes between multiple County buildings to perform work of routine difficulty in cleaning, custodial, and delivery duties; this position has countywide specific responsibility.Nature of Work(Illustrative Only) Responsible for sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floors in hallways, stairways and offices; wipes, dusts and polishes furniture and metalwork; cleans and polishes woodwork, walls, windows and window blinds; empties ashtrays, recycle bins and waste paper baskets; straightens and arranges desks, chairs, bookcases and other office furniture; cleans and disinfects/sanitizes and services/stocking lavatories and rest rooms; cleans water fountains and wash basins; opens and closes doors and windows; cleans/washes down outside areas and walkways immediately surrounding the building; as required; identifies and reports facilities repair needs to supervisor; may sort and deliver supplies and materials; may perform routine equipment maintenance; perform floor maintenance services such as stripping, waxing, buffing, polishing, etc. of various types of hard floor finishes, and shampooing, extracting, etc. on carpeted services; operate and maintain floor care equipment; loads and unloads supplies and equipment; inventories and distributes supplies and equipment throughout work area; regular and reliable attendance is required; performs other duties as assigned.Experience and EducationHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent; AND two (2) years of custodial experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience; must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license.County: Requires successful completion of a background check.Sheriffs: Must successfully pass a background check to the satisfaction of the Yuma County Sheriff’s Department.Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesKnowledge of: County policies and procedures; materials, methods, and practices used in cleaning and sanitizing buildings and grounds, and related custodial operations; occupational hazards and safety precautions.Skill in: Maintaining safety standards; following written and verbal instructions.Ability to: Lift 40 pounds; work in varying extreme weather conditions; bend, kneel, squat, pull, and push on a repeated basis; establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers; follow written and verbal instructions; stand and bend; walk and stoop; perform the essential functions of the job specifications with or without a reasonable accommodation.Work EnvironmentThe usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands: lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; generally, the job requires 30% bending, 20% walking, 20% stooping and 30% standing; the job is performed under varying weather conditions and may be exposed to chemical fumes and hazardous materials.EOE/AA/ADAAA/M/F/V/D DRUG FREE WORKPLACEMedical Coverage Category The YCEBT is a self-funded medical plan administered by BlueCross BlueShield of Arizona (BCBSAZ). The employee is able to select from three (3) medical plan options with six (6) tiers that will best suit the employee's needs, dependents or families.Plan Option 1: Preferred Provider Option A (PPO) or PPO A 1100 deductible. Employees who participate in the "Wellness Incentive" will receive a $30 monthly premium reduction by completing three steps.Plan Option 2: Preferred Provider Option B (PPO) or PPO B 1,500 deductible. Employees who participate in the "Wellness Incentive" will receive a $30 monthly premium reduction by completing three steps.Plan Option 3: High Deductible High Plan - Health Savings Account (HDHP-HSA) with a 1700 deductible. Employees who participate in the “ Wellness Incentive” will receive a $30 monthly premium reduction by completing three steps.Employer contributes a total of $800.04 to employees Health Savings Account. If employees select Employee only and participate in the “ Wellness Incentive” employees can receive up to 360.00 contribution to a Limited Purpose FSA card to be used for medical or dental purposes.Southwest Service Administrator (SSA) Mexico PPO Health Plan: SSA is available to employees who are enrolled in YCEBT Medical PPO Plan A and PPO Plan B.
