Controller – Multi-Site Dermatology GroupLocation: LutzReports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to lead the accounting function for a well established and growing, multi-site dermatology group. This role is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate month-end close, producing reliable financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with lender reporting requirements, including debt covenant calculations.The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with healthcare industry experience and the ability to manage a high-performing team in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Close ProcessLead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple entities and locationsEnsure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAPOversee general ledger, account reconciliations, and journal entriesContinuously improve close timelines, accuracy, and internal processesFinancial ReportingPrepare and deliver monthly financial reporting packages to executive leadershipAnalyze financial results, variances, and key performance indicatorsSupport budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with finance leadershipDebt & Covenant CompliancePrepare and monitor debt covenant calculations in accordance with lender agreementsEnsure timely and accurate reporting to lenders and other stakeholdersMaintain compliance with all loan reporting requirements and proactively identify risksTeam Leadership & DevelopmentManage and develop the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance managementEstablish and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controlsFoster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaborationOperational & Strategic SupportPartner with revenue cycle, operations, and executive teams to support business initiativesAssist with system implementations, process improvements, and scaling effortsSupport audits, tax filings, and regulatory complianceQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred)7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership rolesExperience in healthcare services, ideally multi-site physician practice or dermatology groupStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirementsDemonstrated experience with debt agreements and covenant calculationsExperience managing multi-entity accounting environmentsProficiency with accounting systems and advanced Excel skillsKey CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage deadlines and prioritize in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and leadership skillsProcess-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvementWhy Join UsOpportunity to play a key leadership role in a growing healthcare organizationCollaborative executive team and strong organizational cultureCompetitive compensation and benefits package
