Construction Manager

These services include design, construction, updates, and maintenance of new and existing datacenter facilities. Mission Critical Construction Manager (MEP) The Mission Critical Construction Manager is a Foreman/Superintendent role responsible for managing internal and subcontractor crews for datacenter construction and upgrade projects. Scopes vary from minor Client/EPMS upgrade projects to major multidisciplinary scopes involving multiple subcontractors and trades. This position will be based onsite at various data centers. Primary ResponsibilitiesFull time on-site beginning at 6AMCoordinate and support internal and subcontractor teams on mission critical renovation/upgrade projects that include Client, EPMS, mechanical, electrical, and structural scopes of workMaintain safe working environment and champion our safety cultureApply expertise to support project management teams with planning, schedule management, coordination, and closeoutProvide technical direction and support for Trade Partners and field crews in daily construction activitiesProvide construction and schedule updates to project management teamAssist with coordination of client submittals, site logistics plans, and as-built documentationAssist with coordination of RFIs and maintain log as requiredAttend site visits with client and subcontractorsCoordinate with estimating and project team to support RFQs and bid submittalsPromote positive customer relationshipsCoordinate site access and badging requestsIdentify process bottlenecks and make recommendations for improvementRequirements and Experience3-5 years or more of Mission Critical and Data Center construction field management experience. Experience working in live datacenters required.Experience running crews in live datacenter environments required.Thorough experience with construction, safety, and quality best practicesUnderstanding of electrical, mechanical, structural, architectural trades and industrial construction methods. Specific requirements include:Ability to read and interpret a one-line diagramAbility to interpret P&ID/Client Controls diagramsAbility to interpret electrical drawings and trace the flow of powerAbility to abide and understand simple and complex LOTO procedures and coach others on how to followOSHA30 Certificate preferredExperience with Client and EPMS systems construction, integration, and commissioning tasksDemonstrated ability to work in a dynamic team environment with multiple stakeholdersAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlinesStrong attention to detailSolution orientated with solid problem-solving skillsAbility and willingness to travel to project sitesAbility to pass background checkMust be able to work for any US Employer without current or future visa sponsorshipEssential Functions: Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting to 20 pounds. Hand manipulation is required for grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, as well as below the shoulder for same. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and work at heights.
