Embedded Software Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!The Role• Develop and own server-related firmware for a leading cloud platform.• Work on embedded software development, including C/C++ for server baseboard management controllers (BMC).• Engage in scripting language development and Linux driver development.• Contribute to building, validating, and supporting firmware across diverse technology domains.• Solve complex problems at the intersection of software, hardware, and cloud infrastructure.What You'll Need• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.• 3+ years of professional software development experience.• 2+ years of experience in designing and architecting new and existing systems, including reliability and scaling.• Experience in embedded development using C/C++.• Knowledge of system performance, memory management, and parallel computing principles.• Experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.What's On Offer• Competitive annual salary ($143,700 - $194,400 USD) plus potential for sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).• Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.• Opportunity to work on next-generation platform software with a direct impact on business outcomes.• Ownership for implementation and the ability to see direct product improvements.Apply via Haystack today!
