PennDOT - Tas2 A4 Sc3 (.Net Developer, Full Stack) Location: Work location is majority remote; however, selected candidates will be required to report in person for an interview at PennDOT's offices at 400 North Street, 5th floor, Harrisburg PA. Engaged candidates will also need to report in person to pick up equipment as part of onboarding and may be required to report for occasional in-person meetings or training.Duration: Long-termClient: State of PAThe eTransit Reporting system is a greenfield web application being built for PennDOT's Bureau of Public Transit to replace and enhance a legacy system using the latest.NET and Angular technologies for deployment to the Azure cloud. The application will allow easier communication between PennDOT, the Federal Department of Transit, and public transit agencies within Pennsylvania while enhancing lines of business and looking forward to future changes and systems enhancements. Prospective initial deployment of the application is March 2025.Candidates will work under the direction of the project's Technical Lead and Application Architect to write, test, and document code to implement system features and enhancements.Skills Required: 8+ Years.NET Core and C#, for building backend services and applicationsASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC or ASP.NET Core for building web applicationsSQL Server / T-SQL, recent experience with Azure SQL.APIs and Integration, RESTful APIs, microservices and event-driven architectureTesting frameworksXUnit/NUnitPrefer: Jasmine and KarmaORM, such as Entity framework and DapperContainerizationPrefer: DockerCloud services with implementation in.NET: Azure Function, Azure Queue, Azure Storage, Azure container registry, Key VaultFront-End: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (Prefer: prior experience with jQuery and Bootstrap), Angular with recent experience with Angular 14 or greater.Required Knowledge and Experience Knowledge of responsiveness and mobile-first developmentKnowledge of Design Patterns and Solid principlesKnowledge of digital accessibility and disability inclusionKnowledge of regulations related to digital accessibility (e.g., Section 508, ADA)Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA requirementsExperience designing for platform technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, iOS, Android)Experience applying WAI-ARIA authoring guidelines and best practices.Experience optimizing for the accessibility features of the platform (HTML, iOS, Android)Experience developing digital products that comply with accessibility standards.Preferred Experience incorporating accessibility tests into the development process.Experience building digital products where compliance with accessibility standards is part of "definition of done"Work Details Work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm excluding state holidays for a maximum of 40 hours/week. Lunch is 12:00 – 12:30. The contract assumes an additional 80 hours of unpaid leave in addition to the above per state fiscal year.
