Senior Vice President – Data Center Construction (General Contractor)A nationally recognized general contractor is seeking a Senior Vice President of Data Center Construction to lead and expand its mission-critical construction operations. This executive will provide strategic leadership for large-scale hyperscale and enterprise data center programs, overseeing project execution, operational performance, and client relationships across a growing portfolio.The SVP will play a key role in scaling the company's data center platform while ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects that demand the highest standards of safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide executive leadership for all data center construction operations, overseeing multiple hyperscale and enterprise projects from preconstruction through commissioning.Manage and mentor senior project leadership including Project Executives, Project Directors, Construction Managers, and Preconstruction teamsOversee large-scale project portfolios often exceeding $1B+ in annual construction volumeMaintain strong relationships with hyperscale clients, developers, and technology companies, ensuring repeat business and long-term partnerships.Drive operational excellence across safety, quality, scheduling, procurement, and field execution.Partner with estimating and preconstruction teams to ensure early engagement, constructability, and cost certainty on major projects.Support business development efforts and help grow the firm's mission-critical construction market shareQualifications20+ years of experience with a general contractor, including significant leadership within mission-critical or data center construction.Proven success delivering large-scale hyperscale or enterprise data center campusesExperience managing large project teams and multi-project portfolios across multiple regions.Strong understanding of MEP-intensive construction, commissioning, and mission-critical infrastructureDemonstrated ability to develop high-performing teams and build long-term client relationships.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline (advanced degree preferred).OpportunityThis role offers the opportunity to lead one of the fastest-growing sectors in construction while delivering some of the most complex and high-value projects in the industryIf you are a senior leader within data center construction interested in discussing this opportunity confidentially, we would welcome a conversation.
